SBS Technologies has introduced the ABI-3910, a high-performance 6U VME interface card with a PowerPC-based motherboard and one single-channel STANAG 3910 PMC daughterboard. Designed for simulation, test, data acquisition, and avionics applications that require very fast data transfers, the 3910 motherboard uses the latest PowerPC technology under the VxWorks operating system. The ABI-3910 can be configured as a system controller, eliminating the need for an additional controller in some systems. Low-Â’and high-speed 3910 bus interfaces provided on the PMC are based on an advanced high-speed DSP, programmable logic, and dual port RAM. Up to 56MB memory is provided for user data structures. A total of eight external trigger signals are available from the front panel or VME P2 connector. ABI-3910 provides powerful capabilities for definition of events, conditions such as input external triggers that can be used to generate external triggers, and start or stop BC lists, RT simulation and sequential monitoring. Events can also generate VME interrupt signals. Complimentary software drivers for most operating systems, and the Integrated Avionics Library with source code are provided with the interface.
