Linksys, a leading global manufacturer of broadband, wireless and networking hardware for the small/medium enterprise (SME), small office/home office (SOHO) and home environments, and BTopenworld, BT's mass market Internet business and the UK's leading supplier of DSL Broadband, today announced the availability of the Wi-Fi Certified BTopenworld Wireless Network line of IEEE 802.11b LAN solutions, throughout the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. The wireless solutions provided by BTopenworld and Linksys allow broadband customers with multiple PCs the ability to share Internet and network access, while simultaneously granting them the freedom to set up solutions to wirelessly transport their laptop(s) around the home or office. The wireless solutions are well suited to the BTopenworld broadband access products which are available in 500Kbps, 1Mbps or 2Mbps versions. The Linksys/BTopenworld co-branded wireless offerings consist of packages made up of a Wireless Network Laptop Card (WPC11-BT), Wireless Network USB Desktop Adapter (WUSB11-BT) and a Wireless Network Access Point (WAP11-BT). The products are offered individually as upgrades as your network grows and in specific packages.
