Review … again
At work, I seem to be embroiled in endless "reviews" of services. It sometimes seems as though a "review" is simply a holding and delaying tactic to avoid taking difficult decisions or making significant investments. Of course, we need to keep all activities under "review" but specific, project-based reviews should be minimised – unless there are clear reasons, with a clear brief, a clear project plan and commitment to following up the review with firm action. Unfortunately, too often these essential contributions are lacking.
