Agile Software Corporation, a leading provider of collaborative manufacturing commerce solutions, sponsored the recent first annual Agility in Collaborative Manufacturing Awards in recognition of best practices in collaborative manufacturing commerce by Agile customers. Award winners were announced and recognised at a special ceremony at the Agility 2000 Executive Forum on 4 October 2000, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Judging was conducted by a panel of luminaries in the manufacturing and supply chain industries and details of winners can be found on the Agile software Web site.

The Agility in Manufacturing Awards, which are intended to be an annual event, are presented to Agile customers in five categories.

1. 1.

   Agility in Collaborative Manufacturing Award: High Tech Industry awarded to a mid-tier (over US$50 million in annual revenue) or larger technology company that has reengineered its manufacturing or supply chain practices to meet a specific challenge and produce demonstrable benefits.

2. 2.

   Agility in Collaborative Manufacturing Award: Medical Device Industry awarded for visionary manufacturing practices in the medical device industry.

3. 3.

   Agility in Collaborative Manufacturing Award for Emerging Technology Manufacturers awarded to an emerging (under US$50 million in annual revenue) technology company that has leveraged collaborative manufacturing commerce practices to compete with larger, more established competitors.

4. 4.

   Agility in Collaborative Manufacturing Award for Innovative Solutions awarded for an unusual or highly original application of collaborative practices.

5. 5.

   Agility in Collaborative Manufacturing Award for Outstanding Leadership awarded to the company that represents the most compelling example of collaborative manufacturing practices yielding impressive results in time to market, time to volume, increased revenue, or enhanced efficiency.
