Wizdom Systems Inc., has announced the availability of The Manufacturing Enterprise Reference Model (following on the heels of The HealthCare Enterprise Reference Model). Enterprise reference models provide corporate process improvement teams with process templates to streamline the time it takes to analyse and redesign their business processes. Use of a reference model can cut the time it takes to conduct a typical re-engineering project in half. This new manufacturing model was created through a consortium of some of the best known American manufacturing organisations, and sponsored by the National Center for Manufacturing Sciences (NCMS). The book contains a comprehensive, graphical model of best business processes in a typical US manufacturing company as well as a primer explaining the model and how to use it. The CD includes an electronic version of the model and a viewer version of Wizdom's ProcessWorks'98 process modelling software to access the model. Cost is $495 per single copy - discounts for quantity.
