Novell has made available the availability of Greenwich Mean Time Check 2000 and the Year 2000 Information Ferret which provide customers with a set of tools to manage the change efficiently and effectively to make their businesses Y2K ready. The products were unveiled by Novell as part of a comprehensive change management initiative designed to help customers reduce costs through better management of IT change. Although it is a little late, many organisations are only just getting ready for the year 2000. Novell's Year 2000 Information Ferret is a free tool that is designed to help determine the year 2000 status of Novell software on NetWare servers. The resulting report, provided by Novell and sent to the customer, will include the status of Novell products, as well as update and upgrade recommendations if Novell products are not year 2000 ready. Check 2000 is a Windows product that checks PCs for year 2000 risks. Z.E.N.works 1.1 ships with a five-user version of Check 2000. It identifies and alerts network administrators to potential year 2000-related issues at the desktop and assists them in repairing problems.
