According to the latest RICS UK Economic Brief, the recent trend of slowing economic growth continued in June. Interest rates remained on hold once again as retail sales remained weak, manufacturing continued to record falling output, and the housing market was stagnant. At the same time the service sector continued to expand steadily, the labour market remained firm and CPI inflation was stable at just below the Government’s 2 per cent target.
