Scottish Planning and Building Standards Advice on Flooding

Scottish Planning Advice Note 69: Planning and Building Standards Advice on Flooding provides good practice advice on planning and building standards in areas where there is a risk of flooding. The PAN fulfils a commitment made in Scottish Planning Policy (SPP) 7: Planning and Flooding, published earlier this year, and supports the policy set out in the SPP. It also supports the Technical Handbooks published by the Scottish Building Standards Agency which provide guidance for the Building (Scotland) Regulations 2004. Copies of the PAN are available from the Scottish Executive Development Department, Planning Division Area 2-H, Victoria Quay, Edinburgh EH6 6QQ (0131 244 7066) and on the Scottish Executive Web site at www.scotland.gov.uk/planning.
