Care and Repair of Flint Walls

Care and Repair of Flint Walls

The Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB) has just published its latest of a series of pamphlets on repairing old buildings. Flint is one of the hardest and most durable of building stones and has been used in the chalkland regions of England since Roman times. This pamphlet deals with diagnosing defects and the correct repair techniques including sample mortar mixes. It is priced at £3 (incl. p&p) and is available from SPAB, 37 Spital Square, London, E1 6DY.
