New particle emissions codes of practice

DETR has commissioned BRE to collaborate with the construction industry and regulatory authorities to develop Codes of Practice to control the emission of particles from construction activities. The effects of airborne particles on health, especially respiratory diseases, are a matter of growing concern. The new codes will require construction sites to demonstrate that their fine particle emissions are within acceptable limits.
