It is with regret that we have learnt of the death of Professor Dr Manea Manescu. He passed away on the 27th of February 2009 at the age of 92.
Professor Manescu was an enthusiastic supporter of the World Organisation of Systems and Cybernetics (WOSC) and also of its official journal Kybernetes. He was an Honorary Fellow of WOSC and a long-term member of the Editorial Advisory Board (EAB) of this journal. He was Head of “Amis de la WOSC et Kybernetes – Cercle Roumain d’Etudes de Systémique et de Cybernétique”.
An obituary will be published in an upcoming issue of Kybernetes.
