Fluorocarbon launches new PTFE rotary shaft seal range

PTFE, with its very low coefficient of friction, has always been considered the ideal sealing material for rotary shaft seals. Now, with the combination of Fluorinoid filled grades of PTFE, Fluorocarbon can offer a wide variety of materials incorporating all the design features necessary for the perfect high-speed sealing lip.

Fluorocarbon PTFE rotary seals are designed for use in the most demanding conditions and offer the following benefits:

  • Excellent chemical resistance.

  • Wide operating temperature range.

  • Very low coefficient of friction (low torque).

  • Non stick/slip effect.

  • High resistance to wear.

  • Dry run capability.

  • Very high shaft surface speeds.

  • Sealing large eccentricities.

Parts coated with the Company's new Fluoralon HB 2000 High-Build coatings will also be on display as well as the new Fluoroetch™ range of etched PTFE tapes.
