New air blast coolers offer the "quiet" and environmentally friendly specification

In an age when environmental issues are high profile, it is claimed that air blast coolers are the environmentally friendly choice over other types of coolers, such as the water-guzzling shell and tube variety. A new generation of Fawcett Christie air blast coolers also offers hydraulic design engineers the chance to reduce noise pollution.

Developed and manufactured in Sweden by Fawcett Christie's sister company, Oiltech AB, the Q-EGO range of air blast coolers utilises a specially-developed low-noise and high performance pump. In fact, the pump noise level is under 60dba making it almost inaudible against the background noise of most hydraulic equipment.

The new Q-EGO air blast coolers are the environmentally friendly specification for oil cooling

The Q-EGO air-blast coolers are installed off-line and the integral pump ensures a constant oil flow through the matrix. Because all aspects of the cooling process are self-contained and precisely controlled, oil returned to the system is guaranteed to be within the approved temperature range. Hydraulic design engineers can calculate an input temperature, specify an output temperature, and select a Q-EGO cooler which will perform exactly to specification. The integral pump design also takes out any "pressure spikes" in the hydraulic system.
