CISTI extends Secure Desktop Delivery to its entire journal collection
And CISTI is going neck and neck with the BL....
CISTI is pleased to announce that its entire journal collection is now available for document delivery through secure desktop delivery (SDD).
The SDD delivery method, first launched in December 2003, makes it possible for CISTI to deliver copyright-cleared documents to its customers in electronic format. SDD uses a customized Acrobat Reader plug-in to enable the customer to view and print their documents using a simple Web interface. The plug-in is downloaded only once by each user, usually in seconds, and works for all subsequent deliveries.
SDD is available at the same service fees as for Ariel or fax. Copyright charges vary from $0 and up, as negotiated with rights-holders. Some copyright fees differ from those applied for other delivery methods.
