The International Journal of Emerging Markets, Stockholm University School of Business, F.H. Joanneum and EUROMED Marseille announce a conference sponsored by the European Union on Internationalization of small- to medium-sized enterprises, Stockholm, Sweden.
The International Journal of Emerging Markets (IJoEM), the premier journal on emerging markets research, is pleased to announce a special issue on Internationalization of Small- to Medium-sized Enterprises in Emerging Markets in conjunction with a research conference held at the Stockholm University School of Business on 16th and 17th June 2006. Papers dealing with the many dimensions of globalization and internationalization of SMEs are welcome regardless of academic domicile or methodology, including papers covering topics in management, marketing, accounting and finance.
Although both empirical and theoretical papers are welcome, the emphasis will be placed on empirical papers that have practical applications or policy implications. It is anticipated that most conference participants will be from universities, governmental agencies or private business research organizations. Papers from practitioners meeting rigorous academic standards are also welcome.
The papers presented at this conference, after they go through a reviewing process, will subsequently be published in a Special Issue of IJoEM.
A PDF or WORD file containing the paper should be e-mailed to Program Chair and Special Issue Editor, Dr Jan Smolarski, at jsm@fek.su.se by 28 February 2006. Authors will be notified by 30 March 2006. There is no paper submission fee. Participants will be responsible for covering their own expenses to attend the research conference.
