The energy sector, a key sector of any economy, is facing major challenges in terms of security of supply, investment, governance, environmental concerns, technology choice, business environment and human resources. The decision and policy makers at various levels are confronted with a large set of sector management issues. The International Journal of Energy Sector Management (IJESM) is a peer-reviewed, inter-disciplinary international platform for disseminating results of research related to and/or relevant for the management of the energy sector. The journal aims to focus on holistic and applied research on a variety of energy sector management issues and to disseminate practical solutions for the same. It provides a common forum for wider interaction, information sharing and publication of relevant applied research, thereby attempts to bridge the gap between the industry and the academia.
IJESM plans to produce a highly valuable reference special issue on China and India by early 2009. The aim of the special issue is to provide a critical analysis on important issues facing the energy sector management in China and India.
