Professor K.N. Seetharamu’s 70th birthday workshop was held in Council of Scientific & Industrial Research – National Aerospace Laboratories (CSIR – NAL) Bangalore, India on 15 and 16 July 2010. The workshop was entitled “Recent Progress in Heat and Fluid Flow Research”. A total of about 70 participants attended this workshop. Professor K.N. Seetharamu’s past and present colleagues, friends and students were the participants of this workshop. There were several presentations and discussions throughout the day both on 15 and 16 July 2010. A total of seven papers from the workshop were finally accepted for publication in the International Journal of Numerical Methods for Heat & Fluid Flow. All the seven accepted papers are presented in this special issue dedicated to Professor Seetharamu.
