The Building Services division of multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Buro Happold, was voted Large Building Services Consultancy of the Year. The announcement was made at the Building Services Journal/CIBSE Awards Dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. Buro Happold also won the Building Services Lighting Project of the Year, for their work at the landmark leisure attraction, the Millennium Dome, Greenwich.

The awarding citation for the prestigious overall Large Building Services Consultancy of the Year Award to Buro Happold, comments "The Judges described Buro Happold as a credit to the building services engineering profession." For the equally coveted Lighting Project of the Year Award, the citation comments "The judges singled out the Millennium Dome as an exemplar."

Receiving the awards on behalf of Buro Happold's six building services partners and 130 building services staff, partner Gavin Thompson said simply "We are all delighted, overwhelmed, honored. Buro Happold's building services t eams have all worked hard, with clear sustainable building aims influencing our designs at every level. This is the industry's most sought after accolade, and to win it reflects the terrific teamwork that has gone on behind the scenes to deliver all our projects."
