New generation of serviced offices opens in London

Keywords: Business planning, Service industry, Technology

Argyll Business Centres recently opened the doors of its first and flagship serviced office centre in elegant St James's Square, SW1, one of London's premier office addresses. Following shortly will be offices in Cavendish Square, W1 and Charles Street, W1.

Argyll's concept is based on a combination of tradition and technology, personal and discreet service with meticulous attention to detail, coupled with the very latest in secure voice and data technology.

The business centres will be run much like exclusive luxury townhouse hotels, and with the up-to-the-minute technology will enable clients to operate their businesses at the optimum level of efficiency and effect. Unlike many serviced office providers, Argyll will operate as a soft brand, allowing clients to take centre stage in their fully serviced, fully refurbished office building.

Taking the concept of "smart" as its central theme, Argyll Business Centres essentially offers three services. First, SMART OFFICE, offering fully furnished, equipped and staffed offices in prestigious locations - with flexible terms to suit all business needs and changing market conditions, and including the use of meeting rooms, boardrooms, and access to the very latest technology. Second, SMART ACCESS, offering total voice and data communications - without a permanent office, but allowing the impression of a virtual office with full back-up. And, third, SMART STATIONS, offering offices, work stations, boardrooms, state-of-the-art IT, videoconferencing and administration and secretarial support as and when needed - all in a central London location - by the hour, day or week.

In launching Argyll's first site in St James's Square, Tomas Gronager, managing director said: "We recognise that in just a few years offices have changed beyond recognition, from an expensive overhead housing staff and filing cabinets to a thriving hub of information flow and productivity. The key to the current demands of the serviced office market is not just about the right location but about technology, helping clients to easily move into the business environment of the twenty-first century. We have responded to those demands and offer flexible terms, thus allowing immediate access and substantial cost savings. Independent research has shown that a serviced office can save businesses up to 66 per cent in accommodation expenses and we fully expect to meet that saving."

Before even opening its doors, Argyll has signed up its first client, Walker Izard, a design company specialising in the design and production of annual reports.

Argyll is a joint venture company with Artesian, an established private group of property companies with net assets in excess of £36 million, active in a wide range of property activities.
