NHS Estates launches its new World Wide Web site recently on nhsestates.gov.uk The site aims to give visitors access to a comprehensive range of information and services offered by NHS Estates in a friendly environment.
An Executive Agency of the Department of Health, NHS Estates has had a limited presence on the Internet for three years. Assisted by a hospital-inspired site plan, visitors to the site will be able to go to a choice of "wards" to access information and service.
NHS Estates chief executive Kate Priestley said:
We are already widely known across the UK and overseas for our information, advice and support on healthcare estate issues. Our new site will give visitors greater choice by placing specific areas of expertise at their fingertips. It will not only bring our services closer to where they are needed but will also help us to keep in touch with visitors through our Internet e-mail facility.
