This software product supports the application of ASTM's Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP; see Note) standard practice (E 1765) for performing multiattribute decision analysis to evaluate buildings and building systems. It includes a comprehensive list of building-related attributes (developed by ASTM Subcommittee E06.25 and E06.81) in a glossary from which you can select attributes of interest (such as location/accessibility, site security, maintainability, quality of the sound and visual environment, and image to the public and occupants) when evaluating your building decision.

Features include:

  • A model-building application which allows you to "slice" away those attributes not wanted to create a model of remaining attributes that best represent your unique problem. Any attributes important to you, whether or not they are included in the building-related attribute glossary, can be added to the model structure.

  • Building-related case examples.

  • Special documentation that explains in detail the building-related features of the software.

Package includes building evaluation manual, software to support ASTM E 1765, Expert Choice® tutorial and user manual, and copy of ASTM standard E 1765.

For architects, developers, owners or lessors of buildings, real estate professionals (commercial and residential), facility managers, building material manufacturers, and agencies managing building portfolios.

System Requirements: IBM or IBM compatible PC (preferable 486-25SX or above); hard disk storage of at least 10 MB; Windows 3.1 or later, Windows NT 4.51; VGA Color Monitor; printer; mouse (optional).

Note

The program is based on and incorporates Expert Choice® Software. The Analytical Hierarchy process is the source of the underlying mathematical theory for the program; such technology is included in the program under licence from Expert Choice, Inc. The program is protected by US Patent No. 4613946.

Software & Manual (Available February 1998) $495 North America; $544 elsewhere Stock #: MNL29.
