Abstract

JOHN KING embodies all that is best in British management. He is tough, with the ability to always separate the wood from the trees, and progressive, in that his decisions are weighed carefully for their social implications as well as the benefit to shareholders. These enviable qualities, which have made this 52‐year‐old company director a millionaire, have also endeared him to the City, where to quote someone or other,‘nothing succeeds like success.’
