Abstract

AS PART OF its major refinery at Amuay in Western Venezuela, the Creole Petroleum Corporation has recently completed a 700‐barrel per day lubricating oil plant which is capable of turning out a range of 27 different types of lubricants, from motor car lubricating oil to highly specialised lubricants for industrial machinery. The Amuay refinery is one of the important world oil refining installations with a throughput of more than 275,000 barrels of crude daily during 1959 and a somewhat higher level of operations so far in 1960.
