U.S. RESEARCH INTO LUBRICANTS FOR HIGH TEMPERATURES

Abstract

FOLLOWING A GOOD DEAL OF RECENT RESEARCH AT THE SOUTHWEST RESEARCH INSTITUTE, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, under a United States Air Force contract, a new lubricant has been developed for use at very high temperatures and a detailed report on this work has been drawn up by the Institute for the Wright Air Development Center, Wright‐Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, entitled “Polynuclear Aromatic Compounds for High Temperature Lubricants”.
