Abstract

NECESSITATED BY EXPANDING BUSINESS, notably by increased orders from abroad, a new factory at Zwolle (Province of Overijssel), Holland, has recently been opened by Ingenieursbureau Lemet Chromium H. van der Horst N.V., who specialise in the Porus‐Krome process for the hard chromium plating of cylinder walls and liners. Porus‐Krome, applied to cylinder bores and other bearing surfaces, has the special quality of being porous, thus making possible a good absorption and distribution of lubricating oil, and thereby reducing wear, corrosion and the risk of piston seizure.
