Abstract

The European Community is virtually unique among international organisations in the impact it has on the lives of the citizens of its Member States. As the 1992 programme nears completion this impact will certainly increase. In order to gain the support of its citizens it is vital for the EC to publicise and explain its initiatives. Consequently the EC has developed an extensive information policy, aimed at informing different sectors of the population.
