Use of an I.C.L. Computer in Southampton University Library, Report No. 5

Abstract

The fourth report in this series, published in Program, Vol. 3, Nos. 3, 4, was written in mid‐1969, and at that time rapid progress was expected in the implementation of the acquisition system, the production of brief catalogues, and the preparation of a handlist of current periodicals. That none of these projects had been completed by the end of 1970 can be attributed partly to over‐optimism, partly to difficulties not of our making, and partly to a new development, the Wessex Medical Library.
