Abstract
Many librarians seem to assume that most of their cataloguing problems will be solved when MARC becomes fully operational. Mr. Ayres gave in Program an indication of the sort of way in which MARC could be used. Some of the possible difficulties in the way of using MARC should however be pointed out.
