Abstract

Will we ever truly have an information society? Superficially the answer seems to be ‘Yes’. Information has a higher profile in the media than ever before. It's almost impossible to live in an advanced society these days without knowing at least something about the Internet and its capabilities. Decision makers are increasingly recognising that information is what makes for competitiveness in business, efficiency in administration.
