The Library World Volume 21 Issue 4
Abstract
The Annual Business Meeting of the Library Association which is fixed for October 25th, is likely to be interesting after all. The Council is putting forward suggestions for an increase in the subscriptions. These have not transpired yet, so we cannot comment upon the proposed new levies; but no doubt a good case, based on the fact that everything in life costs more than it used to do, can be made out for them. Indeed, if the appointment of a permanent secretary, which we have continuously advocated, is to be made, it can only be done, or, at any rate, can most safely be done, by means of an increased product of the annual subscriptions.
