First A340 Model in the High‐Speed Wind Tunnel

Abstract

HIGH lift, minimum drag and good controlability are among the aerodynamic requirements imposed on modern passenger aircraft. These performance characteristics are particularly relevant to the future long range version of the Airbus, the A340 four‐engine wide‐body aircraft incorporating a new wing design.
