CFM International Tests its First Full Authority Digital Electronic Control for CFM56–5 Engine

Abstract

Engine testing has begun in Evendale, Ohio using the first Full Authority Digital Electronic Control (FADEC) for the CM56–5 high bypass turbofan, the engine for the new Airbus Industrie A320.
