Abstract

A cold‐setting plastic metal amalgam—Hermetal—is produced by the Kenilworth Manufacturing Co. Ltd. of West Drayton, Middlesex. Its principal applications are found in the repair of dents, cracks, scratches or holes in metals. In addition to its use as a filler it can also be employed to build up continuous flats or curves, and to conceal rivets, screws and any kind of joint or scam. It can be applied to iron, steel, wood, glass, and all non‐ferrous metals, including aluminium, and sets like lead. The filler can be painted, and is proof against heat and shrinkage, as well as water, oil and petrol.
