Abstract

Translated Abstracts of a Selection from the New Post‐war Scries of Patents Granted in the German Federal Republic. In the drawings, the control surface I, constructed as a landing flap, is open at one side. The framework 2 consists of a nose part 3 and of a finger‐like part 4 running from the nose part towards the rear edge of the surface. The frame 2 is covered on one side with a skin 5 and connected thereto by welding or the like at 6, 7. A cross‐beam 8 serves for stiffening the nose part 3 (FIG. 1). The control surface may be operable in both directions, the frame consisting of two parts 9, 10, of opposite hands. They are connected together by welding at points 11, 12. The frame 1 is covered on both sides with a skin 5 (FIG. 2).
