Abstract

NORTHROP aeroplanes are usually unconventional and the P.61 Black Widow, is no exception. The tail boom arrangement has only been used on about half‐a‐dozen modern aeroplanes —none of which has been an unqualified success, e.g. Fokker G.1, Focke‐Wulf 189, Lockheed Lightning, etc.
