Abstract

AMONG the appliances used for development testing of aircraft engines, the torque‐reaction test stand has always been important. The principle of the torque‐reaction test stand is so simple and readily understood, that despite the practical defects of earlier designs, and concurrently with the development of test stands on different principles, engineers have tried again and again to perfect the torque‐reaction type so as to satisfy all the practical and meteorological requirements of test bed working.
