Abstract

WHEN designing sheet metal sections to meet particular requirements it is very useful to have reference to the I's and k's of geometrically similar sections, particularly when scheming structures or assessing possibilities. In the absence of this reference one relies upon experience, together with trial and error, in order to sketch a section to dimensions which are likely to give the required constants.
