Abstract

IT is reported that SIR CHARLES KINGFORD SMITH'S latest big flight was abandoned and his return to England necessitated by the formation of ice on the main plane and tail. When the plans of the Great Ones are upset by a phenomenon, that phenomenon not only becomes “News” it is translated into a Portent.
