Integrated Library Systems: A Primer on Z39.50: Part Four
Abstract
Last month, I discussed the InitializeRequest PDU in detail. This month, I will start by discussing the InitializeResponse PDU. You may wish to have last month's column handy for reference while you read this. All the parameters defined for the InitializeRequest, with the exception of IdAuthentication, are also defined for the InitializeResponse and their meanings are the same. However, the values the parameters take are those set by the target in response to the values proposed by the origin in the InitializeRequest.
