Abstract

LANtastic is a local area network package for connecting two or more IBM‐compatible computers. The package allows users to share resources such as disks, directories, printers, and CD‐ROM drives, and to use electronic mail. The basic LANtastic starter kit, which connects two IBM‐compatible personal computers, comes with adapter cards, plugs, cable, manual and software for $525. Adapters for additional computers cost $249 each. Voice adapters for voice mail sell for $149 each. The vendor is Artisoft, Inc., 575 E. River Rd., Tucson, AZ 85704, USA. Tel: +1 (602) 293–6363.
