Abstract

FACTS ABOUT STAINLESS STEEL. THE ignorance which exists in the mind of the public concerning elementary facts about stainless steel was brought to our notice when we learnt that it is generally and genuinely believed by a large number of our 45 million people that ‘stainless’ is a plating substance, and pots and pans made of other metals can quite easily get ‘the treatment’! Yet Great Britain is the world's second largest producer of stainless steel.
