Abstract
What can a manager do to contribute to profitability? It needs rather more than telling the last one out at night to turn out the lights, or being polite to customers. Our contributor has six clear answers. They may at first sight look pretty obvious; but in how many of these six approaches have your managers been instructed as to how they might achieve positive results?
