Abstract

“TELL me a man's friends and I will tell you what manner of man he is,” a well‐known philosopher has said. Years ago, even so late as the Victorian age, one might have paraphrased this saying into “Tell me a man's books, and I will tell you the manner of man that he is.” But now?
