VALUATION OF VARIABLE RENTS: THE BRITISH EXPERIENCE

Abstract

In this paper I outline the reasons for variable rents and examine the evolution of rent reviews in the UK. I look at the basis of our valuation practice and finally examine how, with the advent of portfolio analysis, such practice might develop.
