SECURITY IN OFFICES AND SHOPS
Abstract
Many burglaries and other crimes relating to offices and shops are committed by people who have been given easy opportunities to commit them. They can be deterred by the most basic levels of security which are likely to delay even determined intruders as well. In general, burglars are interested in premises believed to contain valuables that can be quickly disposed of for gain. Burglary takes place at night and high risk premises mainly receive the attentions of well‐organised and determined criminally while lesser value burglaries may be committed by opportunists.
