Service charges on privately‐owned residential units

Abstract

The first purpose built residential flats were completed well over 100 years ago by charitable trusts for occupation by deserving cases. Later, builders and developers provided flats almost exclusively for private letting. The majority were located in the London area although between the wars many were built on the south coast.
