Building Control — An Analysis of the New Legislation
Abstract
Introduction The Building Act 1984, which came into force on 31 October, 1984, is a consolidating measure that brings together relevant sections from 46 different Acts of Parliament and Statutory Instruments. It contains, therefore, the vast majority of the legislation controlling the design, construction, alteration, repair and demolition of buildings.
