Abstract

The factors affecting a fully integrated anti‐corrosive system of cathodic protection and paint are discussed and the means by which paints can be assessed are described. The particular functions of a paint in a cathodically protected environment and the special forms of attack encountered are discussed in relation to the test procedures used and the application of the results to practical conditions.
