The "Asteroid and Comet Impact Hazards" Web site, offered by the Ames Space Science Division of NASA, provides background information about these space hazards, recent and archived news stories, reports and position papers from NASA, transcripts of recent congressional testimony on the threat, a list of currently known near-earth objects (NEOs) and projected future close encounters, an overview and reports regarding the NASA NEO Project, photographs and artist renderings of asteroid/comet encounters, and a bibliography and fact sheet on the NEO hazard.
