Christopher Associates introduces HC 610 hole verification system

Keywords: Christopher Group

The Christopher Group (see Plate 2) has recently introduced an advanced hole verification system for printed wiring applications. The HC 610 is an in-line, conveyorized system for the inspection and verification of hole count, hole diameters, locational accuracy and hole quality on rigid, microvia, or flexible printed circuit boards. It can be used after drilling, desmearing, plating, or for final inspection and quality control prior to shipment to the end-user.

The HC 610 can be programmed using either "golden board" or CAM data, and can inspect hole diameters from 0.006" to 0.400" and up to 16:1 aspect ratios on panels from 0.006" to 0.250" thick. It can also inspect irregular features such as slots and elliptical holes. Defects found include plugged holes, improper hole diameters, poor drilling accuracy, and other critical parameters. SPC software is included in this Windows NT based system.
